CELEBRATE PERSON CENTERED HOUSING OPTIONS IMPACT ON OUR COMMUNITY
Every June, PCHO celebrates all of our successes and all of our partners in our Housing First mission. Our gala is also our time to reaffirm our donors' and sponsors' commitment to this lifesaving and effective model. PCHO couples Housing First with intensive services, including access to medical and mental healthcare, addiction services, and a dedicated focus on societal and community integration. Please join us this year on Thursday, June 25, at 5:30 pm at the vibrant and inspiring ARTISANworks in Rochester, NY.

WHO WE HELP
Meet Lori
Lori spent her days running through the woods and swimming in the creek while growing up the youngest of five on the rural west side of Monroe County
Meet Carl
The word many people at Flower City Apartments use to describe Carl is “reserved.” But one suspects that his quiet demeanor might simply reflect the many losses
Meet Kaprisha
The terms of Kaprisha’s probation required a valid address, but it wasn’t safe to go back to where she had been living with a boyfriend.
Meet David
When David moved almost an hour away from Rochester to his girlfriend’s home, he was looking forward to their life together, and to their baby on the way.
About Our Keynote Speaker
Dr. Sam Tsemberis, PhD

Sam Tsemberis is the founder of Pathways to Housing and the pioneer of Housing First, the groundbreaking model that helped reshape the global response to homelessness. In 1992, while working in New York City, he rejected the idea that people had to prove they were “ready” for housing before receiving help. Instead, he listened to people experiencing homelessness and found that what they needed first was a safe, stable place to live. That simple but radical insight became Housing First, an approach that has changed tens of thousands of lives and influenced policy in cities across the United States and around the world, from Houston to Helsinki. By treating housing as a basic human right and leading with humanity, Tsemberis helped redefine what effective care can look like. He was named to the 2024 TIME100 list.
About Artisan Works
Where the fun happens!

ARTISANworks is one of Rochester’s most distinctive creative spaces: a self-funded nonprofit art space and event venue housed inside a renovated industrial building on Blossom Road. Known for its maze-like rooms, floor-to-ceiling collections, and eclectic mix of art, antiques, memorabilia, and design, it feels less like a traditional gallery and more like an immersive world of imagination, history, and local creativity. The space has become a cultural destination in its own right, blending visual spectacle with community events, exhibitions, and a deep commitment to keeping art accessible in unexpected ways.
About Our Caterer
Madeline’s Catering is a full-service caterer in Rochester, New York, and the in-house chef at Artisan Works. Chef owned-and-operated since 1990, we've served thousands of clients and guests, and handle over 500 events a year.
