ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – Person Centered Housing Options Incorporated hosted a gala recognizing the hard work of the staff Thursday.

PCHO began in 2015 with the goal to help folks suffering from chronic homelessness.

Organization leaders said they get about 400 people off the streets every year.

At Artisan Works more than 250 people gathered to enjoy some dinner and live music.

Organizers said PCHO uses a housing model which has proven to be successful for more than 2,000 individuals and families, securing 1,900 housing units and investing more than $11-million in housing efforts.

As a special surprise, PCHO partnered with Van Bortal to gift a car to a long-time client in need.
