Peer Recovery Support

We pair Peer Recovery Support Specialists with clients who can benefit from their life experiences.

Peer Recovery Support Specialists are individuals who have recovered from substance abuse, mental health challenges and/or homelessness. These specialists serve as recovery agents as they maintain a working knowledge of treatment trends and developments the fields of mental health, substance use disorders,  and co-occurring disorders.

Life experiences enable counseling, role modeling, and support to PCHO clients who can benefit from those experiences. Peer support specialists are infused into all PCHO programs and bring an irreplaceable level of empathy and understanding to those we work with.
